The Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Ha Giang – Yen Minh - Heaven Gate - Tam Son – Tham Ma pass - H’mong King Palace - Dong Van
Ha Giang Open Air Jeep Team will pick you up from your hotel, or hostel in Ha Giang or Pick you up at any meeting point or bus station for departure on our tour
Our Tour just driver a few km outside of Ha Giang City you will have a big chance to see amazing scenery when you drive into the mountains before the town of Tam Son. We will cross Bac Sum Pass and go up the Heaven Gate to enjoy the twin mountains and the whole view of Tam Son town. The drive will continue towards the town of Yen Minh, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch. After we will drive towards Dong Van, through the picturesque Chin Khoanh pass. The whole Dong Van Karst Plateau is a major heritage sight in Vietnam. You will see unending rice fields, thousands of limestone rocks, and breathtaking views. You can observe life in hill-tribe villages where local people work on the land. A few kilometers before Dong Van Town, we will stop at the Hmong King’s Palace, a home for Voung’s family in Sa Phin. We will arrive in Dong Van late afternoon, just in time to enjoy a good dinner after a long day full of adventures. In the evening you can explore the town and relax before the next eventful day.
Day 2: Dong Van - Lung Cu Flag Pole - Lo Lo Chai - Dong Van town - Trekking Hidden Village over night in dong Van (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we start our excursion again today, to visit amazing part of the loop and visit the china border, and driver though up to Lu Cu. You will learn a lot of history and stories about the area, then we will visit an important place - Lung Cu Flag Pole, where you see the border area between Vietnam and China territory. The views are splendid and huge from the flag pole or observing point for looking out. Then we will visit Lo Lo Chai village where a small group of Lo Lo ethnic minorities. Their traditional house was created by clay... and we will have lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we drive to Dong Van Town, then the afternoon you will have trekking to visit hidden villages and visit local family to learn about local cultures you will have 2 hour to 2,5 hours trekking visit most spectacular of the landscape then afternoon back to hotel for checking hotel stay over night in Dong Van
Day 3: Dong Van Town – Ma Pi Leng Pass - See overview Nho Que River- Meo Vac Town - M Road - Mau Due Valley – Du Gia Village
After a delicious breakfast we leave Dong Van Town our open-air Jeep Tour will take you to see the most beautiful part of the whole journey, located on the Happiness Road connecting the towns of Dong Van and Meo Vac, Ma Pi Leng Pass. The legendary pass is well known for its craggy cliffs and breathtaking views. It is the most ragged pass in the north, often referred to as the “king” of the passes in Vietnam! The whole road is winding through the cliffs and overcomes Ma Pi Leng pass at an altitude of 2,000 meters.
To show you the full beauty of the pass, we will Ride down the breathtaking Sky Path to admire the scenery of the whole valley and Nho Que River. From the amazing mountain viewpoint, you will be able to experience a 360°, then ride to see the panorama of Ma Pi Leng Pass and take unforgettable pictures. Standing on the peak of the pass, you will feel overwhelmed by the majestic space of mountains and rivers.
We will continue our journey to more distant villages. From there, you will know how people live in remote parts of Vietnam. We will drive through the villages of Lung Ho, Mau Due, and Meo Vac, where we will have a pit stop for lunch and drink. From Meo Vac Town we will continue through the mountainous trail road area of Ha Giang province to Du Gia Village with an amazing landscape and famous village there are 7 ethnic minorities live at the same village, and you will see colorful villages, and a lot of cultures, where we will spend over at homestay with Tay Minority Family, and enjoy dinner and happy water with family
Day 4: Du gia village - Bac Me - Bao Lam road - Me Pia Slope - Bao Lac Town
Let’s join a 130km Open Air Jeep tour, we will ride from Du Gia village to Bao Lac which is known for its charming geo-cultural sites.. Situated in a wide range of immense forests and mountains, Cao Bang ensures year-round fresh cool air. Riding through incredible limestone caves, spectacular dreamy waterfalls, majestic mountains, and several local villages, you will surely not want to leave. We will make a stop at Ma Pia Slope to enjoy the stunning landscape and beautiful views.
Although the road to Bao Lac is relatively easy, there are many blind curves. Hence, you should be very careful and slow down. Along the way, our group can make some stops to have lunch and take stunning photos. After 8 hours of roaming the roads, we end the 3rd day of the trip at a homestay with a local family in Bao Lac, where we can relax and be ready for the next promising day.
Day 5: Bao Lac – Nguom Ngao Cave – Ban Gioc waterfall – Ban Gioc
It’s time to leave the town and go straight ahead to majestic Nguom Ngao Cave, one of the most marvelous caves in the North. We also stop at viewpoints on the short journey to discover the hidden charm of the Northeast Vietnam mountains. Don’t forget to conquer undulating mountains, sharp curves, and green terraced fields dyed yellow under the afternoon sunlight.
Jump on an open-air Jeep to romantic Ban Gioc Waterfall, the largest waterfall in stunning Vietnam. Covered by the vast deep green forests and emerald water running down from above, Ban Gioc waterfall appears as jaw-dropping as a fairy region, stirring the weak hearts of tourists all around the world when coming here. However, until now, this hotspot still retains its untouched beauty that is hardly seen in others. Take a tour on a bamboo craft to sightsee the steep cliffs and unique-shaped rocks covered by the green color of multiple moss arrays. All is mixed to contrast down the green water, creating spectacular scenery.
Day 6: Ban Gioc - The god’s Eye Mountain - Cao Bang - Ba Be
After breakfast, we will leave Ban Gioc and drive to "Thung" mountain. In there, you can see God’s eye mountain, we continue our journey again, our last day still bring you an amazing feeling about nature and landscapes, and we will take the road to Ba Be.
Day : Ba Be - Ba Be Lake - Ha Noi (B, L)
After breakfast, we hit the road to Ba Be, which is famous for some of the most beautiful sceneries in Vietnam. Amidst the high limestone ranges of the national park is Ba Be Lake – the largest freshwater lake in the country. Unlike most freshwater lakes in the limestone areas, Ba Be Lake never falls dry. If we have enough time, we can take a boat tour to get closer to this lake. Then, keep riding until we reach a peaceful small village of Tay people named Pac Ngoi if we arrive early will go cruising on the lake to visit or walk around. We will say goodbye to the local family and then drive Jeep back to Ha Noi.
